39 Yamagata / Yamadera Temple in Yamagata City

The haiku poet Basho composed a poem at this temple on Oku no Hosomichi, which is famous for the tranquility and voices of cicadas that seep into the rocks. The temple is dotted with many halls all over the mountain, and the view is also wonderful.
