39 Tochigi / Ashikaga-Gakko in Ashikaka City
Ashikaga School is known as the oldest school in Japan and is a medieval institution of higher education that is said to have been founded in the early Heian period. From the Muromachi period to the Sengoku period, it was virtually the highest educational institution in the Kanto region.

This is a 27-meter peace Kannon carved entirely by hand on the wall of the Oya stone quarry to commemorate the war dead of the Pacific War.

41 Ibaragi / Kashima Shrine
Kashima Shrine is one of Japan's three oldest shrines. In ancient times, the sea extended all the way to this place, and the approach to the shrine faces the rising sun. The main hall is located adjacent to the approach, in an unusual location.

42 Chiba /Sawara City
It was a hub for water transportation during the Edo period, and even today storehouses and merchant houses line the canals. It was the birthplace of Ino Tadataka, who created an accurate map of Japan during the Edo period, and there is also a memorial museum here.
