What inspired me to write this book was the typhoon that hit Kyoto in 2018and pandemic. The reason for this was to record Kyoto before it was severely affected by both natural disasters and the virus. Since then, the town has been cleaned up thanks to the efforts of many people, but fallen trees still remain on the mountain. The coronavirus has calmed down, and tourism and festivals have resumed. In this book, I have added haiku poems to the photographs to record the ever-changing Kyoto.

この本を作ろうと思ったきっかけは、2018年に京都を直撃した台風とパンデミックでした。自然災害、ウィルスの2つの影響を大きく受ける前の京都を記録したいとの理由でした。その後、多くの人たちの努力で町は綺麗になりましたが、山にはまだ倒木が残っています。コロナも落ち着き、観光や祭は再開されています。この本では、変化を続ける京都の記録を兼ねて、写真に俳句を添えてみました。
